When digging into a pint of any ice cream, admit it: You’re always looking for something. You want those chips. Those bits and pieces. The GOOD STUFF. You’ll push your spoon to the bottom of the carton searching, hoping…but often times, you come up with nothing.
Haagen-Dazs is about to change that.
When one food blogger cracked open a pint of Haagen-Dazs’ new Banana Peanut Butter Chip, she struck GOLD. And now we’re desperate to get our hands on a pint.
Junk Food Mom took to Instagram Sunday to show off the ice cream brand’s latest flavor. The label says, “swirls of rich peanut butter and chocolate chips folded into a sweet banana ice cream”—but the actual pint tells a whole other story.
The instagrammer explains in their caption: “Collection Pint ‘O Peanut Butter. No wait… it’s Banana Peanut Butter Chip. What I actually got was a pint of Peanut Butter with mix ins…”
Yes ya’ll, those are in-fact massive blobs of peanut butter and it might be the best damn flavor ever. Actually imagine taking a huge bite of that PB…that is our happy place.
The ice cream is made with actual banana purée, and the blogger noted it was a bit like a banana “that just turned yellow”—apparently it’s pretty mild, but in a good way. As for the chocolate chips: there are no fewer than a billion. (Ok, possible exaggeration, but you get them point.)
“I got the one in a million pint with PB overload. No swirls here.. blobs. It’s true Pb- thick and creamy. If promised I’d get another pint like this I’d buy them all,” she added.
And the only question left: Is this level of peanut butter standard or did she just strike the peanut butter swirl lottery? We’ll be swinging by a Krogers ASAP to roll the dice here and you should too. Cross your fingers that we all get this lucky.
