Ina Garten Just Revealed The Only Fast Food Place You’ll Ever Find Her

In a recent interview, Ina Garten revealed she’s really not a fast food fan — which isn’t the least bit surprising. Pear clafoutis (that’s a fancy, French, fruit-based dessert) and swordfish curry are in her recipe repertoire; a Big Mac doesn’t really fit in there. But not even the queen of food TV is immune to a craving.

I’m so excited to announce that my new Barefoot Contessa series “Cook Like A Pro” starts this Sunday, May 28, at 11am ET on Food Network. I’m sharing lots of recipes and tips that I’ve learned professionally so you can cook at home with confidence. The first of 8 episodes is – of course! – all about chicken! I’ll be making Roast Chicken With Radishes, Chicken & Spinach Waldorf Salad, and Truffled Chicken Liver Mousse. Hope you can join me; it’s going to be so much fun! xxx Ina

“I have to say, I don’t eat fast food at all, with one exception,” she told Today. “When we’re in California doing book tours, we always have to go to In-N-Out Burger.” Garten didn’t share her order, and her Instagram’s not much help: It’s full of images of hot dogs — she even claimed one of her favorite hot dogs in Paris would be her last meal — but those aren’t on In-N-Out’s menu.

Grab-and-go burgers aren’t exactly on-brand for Garten, but she finds comfort knowing that another high-profile chef felt the same love for In-N-Out that she does. “It’s so good, and I know it was Julia Child’s favorite, too, so it’s okay.” Apparently, the French chef carried around a list of the burger chain’s locations in her pocketbook.
