Don’t forget to pin it for later!
California Grill, Contemporary Resort
Perched on top of the Contemporary Resort with a stunning view of the Magic Kingdom, the California Grill is one of the nicest restaurants at Walt Disney World. Snag a spot by the window, wait for the fireworks to start, and then pop the question. It’ll be impossible to resist.
Be Our Guest, Magic Kingdom
Be Our Guest is a fast-casual restaurant, but forgive me for thinking the decor more than makes up for the less fancy food. Who wouldn’t want to start their own “tale as old as time” in the grand ballroom? Or bend the knee in front of the enchanted rose? Here you can do both, and celebrate with a taste of The Grey Stuff … it’s delicious.
Sci-Fi Dine In, Disney’s Hollywood Studios
There’s nothing more romantic than snuggling up next to your SO in the backseat of a car and sharing a milkshake. Except popping the question under the starry sky while old movies play in the background.
Coral Reef, Epcot
Does your sweetie love the sea? He or she will love this restaurant, where you can literally dine with (ok, amongst) the fishes.
Polynesian Village Resort, Seven Seas Lagoon
There’s a few options at Polynesian that make for a picturesque place to propose. You can make a reservation at ‘Ohana, the hotel’s signature restaurant. If you get the right table, you can see the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks across Seven Seas Lagoon. Or skip the fancy meal, and pack a picnic for the beach for an even better view of the fireworks.
Cinderella’s Royal Table, Magic Kingdom
Treat your betrothed-to-be like a real princess with a meal inside Cinderella’s Castle. Celebrate with champagne and The Clock Strikes Twelve, a decadent dark chocolate mousse with dark chocolate ganache. It will make anyone feel like royalty on the big night.
Victoria & Albert’s, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Planning a Disney World proposal already feels like going all out for your big moment, but if you really want to splurge to mark the occasion, Victoria & Albert’s is the best place to do it. In fact, it’s one of the finest restaurants in the state, earning a AAA 5-Diamond award with its six-course menu and stunning dining room.
La Cantina de San Angel, Epcot
You could head inside the Mexico pavilion to the fancier Mexican restaurant to ask the big question, but the more casual place outside offers the better view. If you time it right, you can order some tacos, catch Epcot’s Illuminations from a table next to the World Showcase Lagoon, and ask the love of your life to be yours — all in the same spot.
Sanaa, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
For a truly unique experience on one of the biggest nights of your life, make a reservation at this African restaurant, which offers up views of Animal Kingdom’s savannah. If you are lucky, you’ll get a “yes” and a glimpse of a giraffe or zebra from your table.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Fort Wilderness Resort
If your significant other would like a round of applause when you get down on one knee, this place definitely provides an audience. Every show, the performers ask if anyone is celebrating anything … take that opportunity to really celebrate something.
Spice Road Table, Epcot
There are other World Showcase Lagoon spots on this list, but none so transports you to another world than Spice Road Table. Modeled after open-air markets in Morocco, this place serves dishes like lamb sliders, hummus fries, and a Harissa chicken roll. Grab a seat by the railing, under the romantic lanterns, right at dusk and you’ll be in prime position for Illuminations fireworks — and to tell your beloved how much you care.
Tomorrowland Terrace, Magic Kingdom
Another great spot for a fireworks-side proposal, Tomorrowland Terrace’s food is nothing fancy — we’re talking chicken fingers and burgers. But it does offer the added bonus of DESSERT. You can book a dessert party and enjoy a few treats right before the fireworks start, which is guaranteed to be the sweetest way to start a proposal.
Flame Tree Barbecue, Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Flame Tree Barbecue is not fancy, but it has the best secret view of Expedition Everest in the park. The expansive outdoor seating area provides some privacy, and at sunset, a view that can’t be beat. So order some pulled pork fries, grab a table, and put a ring on it.
Tony’s Town Square, Magic Kingdom
This is the place to reenact all your Lady and the Tramp, spaghetti-eating dreams. Grab your love, order a big plate of pasta, and be sure to share your meatball — then ask him or her to share the rest of their lives as well.
