No card game out there has caused more family drama than Uno, as it doesn’t take long for a simple round of the game to turn into an all-out war between you and your co-players. So if you’re someone who sometimes gets the urge to get physical while playing Uno, you might want to try out this altered version of the game that can probably help you channel that energy elsewhere.
Last week, Uno took to its official Facebook page to introduce a brand new way for card owners to play the classic game called Uno Workout.
The good news is that anyone interested in playing Uno Workout doesn’t actually have to go out and purchase any new cards for the game — because it’s not an actual game. Think of it as a fun little activity you can engage in when you’re not playing classic Uno and inciting a brawl between yourself and your family members. You can use any Uno deck you have on hand to play, and the only rule of the game is that you perform the corresponding exercise and number of reps for whatever card you draw. Players who draw green cards have to do squats, while red cards are for crunches, yellow is for jumping jacks, blue is for pushups, and drawing a wild card means that you can choose to do 10 of either of these exercises. So if you were to draw a red 8, you’d have to do eight crunches, as opposed to drawing a wild card and choosing what to do on your own.
The game is crazy simple, and if you’re looking to play catch-up on those New Year’s workout resolutions, then this could be an easy solution.
