The Craziest Oreo Flavors Ever Made

The real question is: How many have you tried?

Oreo
Fruit Punch Oreos

Only the Kool-Aid Man would bust through walls and shout “oh yeeaaaaah” over this one. Most of us were left scratching our heads at these vanilla cookies with fruit punch-flavored creme, which was exclusively sold at Walmart last summer.

Banana Split Oreos

Now this is a serious feat of cookie engineering. Banana Split Oreos debuted in the summer of 2013, and they are all the things: One vanilla cookie, one chocolate, and a filling that’s half strawberry-flavored, half banana.

Pumpkin Spice Oreo

As the nation went Pumpkin Spice Latte-crazy, Oreo responded with the perfect cookie to dunk in it. They debuted in 2014 but were so popular that they’ve returned to stores this fall.

Cotton Candy Oreos

This past February, Oreo made the bold decision to release vanilla Oreos with a pink and blue Cotton Candy-esque filling, giving us hope that spring and happy memories of life without perpetually frozen noses would soon arrive.

Berry Burst

Back in 2008, Oreo sold Strawberry Milkshake-flavored Oreos. This version, released in 2011, seems like a very subtle twist on the flavor, but it ushered in a wave of fruity Oreo flavors over the next few years.

The same summer Oreo said, “Hey, guys, these Berry Burst Ice Cream Oreos are kind of just like Strawberry Milkshake Oreos—but better,” it also debuted Creamsicle Oreos, which featured vanilla cookies and a half-orange, half-vanilla filling.

Nabisco
Candy Corn Oreos

In 2012, Oreo got everyone thinking about Halloween a little early, debuting these vanilla Oreos with Candy Corn-flavored creme filling just after Labor Day.

Brownie Batter Oreos

We’ve been dipping Oreos in chocolate for years, but this new flavor, released in August, took the cookie to a whole new level of decadent—and made us wonder why we’ve been using our fingers to get that last smidge of brownie batter out of the bowl. We could’ve been using Oreos THIS WHOLE TIME.

Watermelon Oreos

Watermelon is a summertime must-have, but in cookie form? The fruity filling had mixed reviews when it launched in 2013, though we’d heard it was better received than the candy corn variety.

Oreo
Root Beer Float Oreos

Transforming drinks and frozen desserts into sandwich cookies has been a popular trend for Oreo, so it only makes sense that the brand would create a mashup of the two. The half-root beer, half-vanilla creme filling initially gave us pause—who wants a cookie that tastes like soda?—but thankfully, the frosting doesn’t overpower the cookie.

Oreo
Caramel Apple Oreos

Oreos with a bright green and brown filling may not look all that appealing at first, but when you realize they’re like eating a caramel apple, cookie-crust pie, you’ll be shoveling them into your mouth by the handful.

Key Lime Pie Oreos

As our news editor put it, this treat’s like pure summer, sandwiched between two vanilla cookies. And they’re a lot easier to eat on the go than the real thing.

Lemon Twist Oreo

Oreo’s released its lemon flavor with vanilla cookies and chocolate. We’re not sure how we feel about the latter combination, though one Tasty Test reviewer admits they’re “not nearly as bad as I’d thought they’d be,” and even goes as far to say they’re “kind of good.”

Oreo
Limeade Oreo

Before there were Key Lime Pie Oreos, there were Limeade ones. It was a summer 2014 limited-edition treat served alongside Fruit Punch Oreos, suggesting that someone in the R&D department was clearly on a fruity drink kick. (Considering this lime trend, we have to wonder what summer 2016 has in store for us: Margarita Oreos, perhaps?)

Gingerbread Oreos

If you didn’t want to go through the trouble of baking your own gingerbread cookies in 2012, Oreo had your back, releasing cookies with a gingerbread filling loaded with cinnamon flavor. They made a repeat appearance during the holiday season in 2013, so who knows—they could come back again this year. Fingers crossed.

Marshmallow Crispy Oreo

In February 2014, Oreo turned two beloved, gooey treats into sandwich cookies: cookie dough and marshmallow crispy treats. The latter featured a vaguely marshmallow-y creme filling studded with crisped cereal bits.

Oreo
Red Velvet

The Internet collectively lost its mind when Red Velvet Oreos hit stores this past February, and it marked a surprising change for the brand: The chocolate cookies were red to match the cake, while most limited-edition flavors tend to be plain chocolate or vanilla. Cream cheese-flavored filling helped the treat stand out from Oreo’s OG cookie.

Triple Double Neapolitan Oreo

If Double Stuf and Mega Stuf Oreos weren’t enough Oreo for you (or if the frosting-to-cookie ratio was just off), Triple-Double Oreos are your jam … er, dessert. This version paired vanilla cookies with chocolate and strawberry creme fillings, presumably so you could eat the cookie the way everyone eats Neapolitan ice cream: Consuming all of the chocolate and throwing out the rest.
